Lane Hutson bol draftovaný v roku 2022 zo 62. miesta, kedy upútal pozornosť organizácie Canadiens. Minulú sezónu strávil mladý obranca na Bostonskej univerzite, kde odohral 37 duelov. Taktiež bol súčasťou zlatej generácie hráčov USA na Majstrovstvách sveta juniorov 2024, kde si zo siedmich zápasov odniesol šesť asistencií. V aktuálnom ročníku odohral zatiaľ každý zápas a s 32 bodmi je najproduktívnejším nováčikom ligy. Napriek nevydarenému štartu má Montreal posledné týždne najlepšiu formu na východe.
Matvei Michkov
Philadelphia síce patrí k tímom na chvoste tabuľky, no súčasťou nej je veľmi šikovný hráč, ktorý by sa jedného dňa mohol stať tvárou klubu. Ruský snajper Matvei Michkov je momentálne druhý najproduktívnejší hráč Flyers hneď za Travisom Konecnym a jeho štatistiky sú naozaj pôsobivé. Od novembra však jeho priemerný hrací čas klesol pod 16 minút na zápas, čo je o tri minúty menej než má Macklin Celebrini. Aj to prispelo k tomu, že útočník Sharks ho bodovo dobehol, hoci odohral o osem zápasov menej.
Má iba osemnásť rokov, no už teraz ho mnohí prirovnávajú k novému Crosbymu.
Macklin Celebrini, jednotka posledného draftu, baví svojou hrou nie len fanúšikov Sharks ale aj celú NHL. Momentálne má na konte 29 bodov, a nebyť zranenia, ktoré ho vyradilo na 12 zápasov, by bol jasným lídrom medzi nováčikmi. Hoci Lane Hutson odohral o deväť zápasov viac, Celebrini na neho stráca len tri body, čo svedčí o jeho mimoriadnom talente a efektivite. San Jose prechádza dlhou prestavbou čo sa odzrkadľuje na jeho pozícií v tabuľke, ale Celebrini svojím herným štýlom a zrelosťou na ľade dokazuje, že je budúcim lídrom, na ktorého sa Sharks môžu spoľahnúť pri budovaní úspešnej budúcnosti.
