Vedenie kanadského klubu Calgary Flames vo štvrtok oznámilo zranenie devätnásťročného útočníka Samuela Honzeka.
V NHL sa nestihol ešte ani poriadne rozpozerať a už bude tímu Flames chýbať minimálne týždeň kvôli zraneniu v hornej časti tela. Naposledy sa predstavil v noci z utorka na stredu, keď Calgary zdolalo Chicago Blackhawks 3:1.
Bližšie informácie o jeho zranení nie sú známe a klub neuviedol ani jeho presnú príčinu. Môže však súvisieť s tvrdým zákrokom, ktorý Honzek utrpel od obrancu Chicaga Connora Murphyho v poslednom zápase.
Honzek bol draftovaný Calgary v roku 2023 v prvom kole z 16. miesta. V prípravnom kempe pred touto sezónou zaujal natoľko, že sa prebojoval až do hlavného tímu Flames a sezónu začal v NHL.
Doteraz odohral štyri zápasy, na prvý bod v základnej časti však stále čaká. Na svojom konte má šesť striel na bránku, dve trestné minúty a štyri bodyčeky.
Calgary má aktuálne v sezóne bilanciu štyroch víťazstiev zo štyroch zápasov.
