Záver augusta už tradične v slovenskom hokeji znamená aj slávnostné vyhlasovanie ankety o najlepšieho hokejistu roka. Tohtoročnú anketu ovládol Juraj Slafkovský.
Hlavnú cenu večera vyhral 20-ročný útočník pôsobiaci v Montreale Canadiens – Juraj Slafkovský. Slafkovský zažil v NHL prelomový ročník, keď si v 82 zápasoch pripísal 20 gólov a 30 asistencii. Formu prišiel potvrdiť aj na svetový šampionát do Ostravy, kde síce gól nestrelil, no pripísal si 8 asistencii. V ankete bol prvý pred Liborom Hudáčkom a Martinom Pospíšilom. Slafkovský taktiež ovládol aj hlasovanie v kategórii najlepšieho hráča do 20 rokov a najlepšieho útočníka. Všetky spomenuté ocenenia získal Slafkovský druhýkrát v kariére.
Cenu pre najlepšieho rozhodcu roka získal skúsený arbiter Peter Stano, ktorý vyhral toto ocenenie už piatykrát po sebe. Ocenenie prebral jeho otec, keďže Peter Stano sa spoločne s inými rozhodcami v Rige pripravuje na nadchádzajúcu olympijskú kvalifikáciu.
Najlepším trénerom pre rok 2024 sa stal Antonín Stavjaňa, ktorý doviedol Nitru k historickému titulu v extralige, keď bola po základnej časti až ôsma. Už tretíkrát po sebe ovládol trénerskú anketu zahraničný tréner pôsobiaci na Slovensku po Craigovi Ramsaym a Danovi Cemanovi. Cenu pre najlepšiu hokejistku získala Lucia Halušková. 24-ročná hokejistka vyhrala túto anketu prvýkrát v kariére. Na MS divízie 1B bola najproduktívnejšou hráčkou Slovenska pri postupe do divízie 1A.
Najlepším brankárom sezóny sa stal Samuel Hlavaj. Kvalitná sezóna v Plzni a vynikajúce majstrovstvá sveta mu vybojovali zmluvu s Minnesotou Wild. Anketu ovládol pred kolegami z reprezentácie – Stanislavom Škorvánkom a Matejom Tomekom.
Ocenenie pre najlepšieho obrancu roka obhájil Martin Feherváry. Obranca Washingtonu Capitals má za sebou taktiež úspešnú sezónu v NHL. V 66 dueloch profiligy si pripísal 3 góly a 13 asistencii. K nim pridal dobrú, no krátku sériu v playoff. Prehra v štyroch zápasoch ho však dlho nemrzela, keďže reprezentoval Slovensko na MS v Ostrave, kde bol lídrom obrany našej reprezentácie.
