Jen co se potvrdila demolice Horáckého stadionu, začali se ozývat fanoušci s prosbou o nějakou relikvii v podobě cihly, zábradlí či kousku betonu. Jihlavský klub však musel zamítnout stovky žádostí, jelikož stadion nepatří klubu, ale Statutárnímu městu Jihlava.
Horácký stadion v Jihlavě se stal ikonou nejen jihlavské Dukly, ale celého českého hokeje, proto není divu, že by si mnoho fanoušků či sběratelů chtělo vlastnit kus jihlavské historie.
Dukla ovšem dříve zájemcům relikvie nabídla, ovšem to vystupovala jako pouhý prostředník a tak shromažďovala seznam zájemců, který následně posílala Statutárnímu městu Jihlava – majiteli stadionu. Vedení klubu tímto chtělo vyjít vstříc každému, kdo by o kus historie stál. Nikdo však netušil zájem takových rozměrů.
Omlouváme se, ale klub aktuálně zahltily stovky e-mailových žádostí o kousek cihly, betonu, schodu, nebo zábradlí, na které nejsme schopni obratem reagovat písemně a už vůbec ne vstřícným krokem a věcným zajištěním daného požadavku.

Dukla tak není schopná vyhovět žádostem, jelikož není majitelem stadionu. Nezbývá než doufat, že si městští zástupci najdou nejedno dlouhé odpoledne a odpoví alespoň na některé žádosti.
Všichni však již vyhlíží nový stadion, novou multifunkční halu, která má světlo světa spatřit v roce 2025. Zatím budou jihlavští hokejisté využívat stadiony v Pelhřimově a Jindřichově Hradci i nadále.
