O poradí tímov na drafte rozhoduje každý rok draftová lotéria. Tento rok sa draftová lotéria konala 5. mája a víťazom lotérie sa stal tím New York Islanders. To znamená, že práve „ostrovania“ budú mať právo vyberať si draftovú jednotku pre rok 2025.
