Pri pohľade na doterajšie výkony Šimona Nemca v prípravných zápasoch by si nejeden fanúšik slovenského hokeja povedal, že Šimonovi miesto v NHL neujde. Opak sa však stal realitou a tak sa poďme pozrieť na tri možné sezónne scenáre pre mladého beka.
1. Devils sa držia toho, že: „Jedna lastovička leto nerobí“
Tento scenár nemusí byť ďaleko od reality.V minulej sezóne bol Šimon Nemec najlepším strelcom Uticy spomedzi obrancov, keď vstrelil 12 gólov ku ktorým ešte pridal 22 asistencií.Ako vieme ani to mu neprinieslo prvé minúty v drese „Diablov“.Nemec v predsezónnej príprave zaznamenal 4 kanadské body za 2 góly a 2 asistencie v štyroch stretnutiach. Ak by najmä v úvode sezóny svojími výkonmi dokázal nadviazať na minulú sezónu v AHL, šanca naskočiť na pár zápasov v najlepšej lige sveta ho s vysokou pravdepodobnosťou neminie.
2. Devils ho nasadia v prípade, ak by im zo zostavy vypadol obranca
Scenár, ktorý je podľa mňa najpravdepodobnejší.Môžeme s istotou konštatovať, že Šimon svojimi výkonmi ohúril fanúšikov, médiá, skautov. Podstatné však bude do akej miery výkony draftovej dvojky z roku 2022 oslovili vedenie Devils. Ja osobne však očakávam, že Šimon ten priestor dostane a minimálne na pár zápasov si NHL vyskúša. Ako s touto prípadnou príležitosťou Šimon naloží je čisto na ňom. Faktom však ostáva, že Šimon Nemec disponuje nepopierateľnými kvalitami, ktoré spĺňajú nekompromisné parametre hrania v najlepšej hokejovej lige sveta a jeho potenciál môže byť na úrovni tých najlepších obrancov v lige. Nie nadarmo ho Devils draftovali tak vysoko pred menami ako Logan Cooley, Shane Wright, Cutter Gauthier alebo aj Dávid Jiříček.
3. Šimon Nemec si NHL nezahrá ani v tejto sezóne
Tento čierny scenár môžu podopierať ambície New Jersey, ktorí tak môžu vsadiť „na istotu“. Progres Nemca je nepopierateľný avšak stále mu môžu chýbať tak veľmi potrebné skúsenosti. Na neskúsenosť by mohol v náročnejších zápasoch doplatiť ako Šimon, tak aj jeho spoluhráči. V prípade, že by „Diabli“ hrali opäť o najvyššie priečky s plne zdravou zostavou, Šimon by priestor v hlavnom tíme pravdepodobne nemusel dostať. Slovenský fanúšik by to „Diablom“ mohol vyčítať. Ak by sa však vedenie Devils rozhodlo, že preferujú skúsenejších borcov a zároveň by tím nemal početnú maródku, tak by ten pomyselný Čierny Peter v podobe nevymenovania do hlavného tímu mohol zostať práve v rukách Nemca a malo by to svoje opodstatnenie. Tento scenár mi však pripadá skutočne vysoko nepravdepodobný a osobne neočakávam, že by sa naplnil.
