Prestupové okno v slovenskej Extralige je už dlhšiu dobu otvorené. Tím z Košíc ale aktivitu nevykazoval. Pred pár chvíľami ale Oceliari vypustili do sveta svoju neúplnú zostavu pre sezónu 2024/2025.
V bránkovisku sa nakoniec neudejú žiadne zmeny. Stabilnú dvojicu Dominik Riečický a Jaroslav Janus len doplní z mládežníckych kategórií úspešný Patrik Jurčák.
V obrane zostali najmä slovenské mená. V ďalšej sezóne si za Košice zahrajú Antonín Bartoš, Radek Deyl, Jakub Ferenc a Eduard Šedivý. K skúseným hráčom sa pridajú mladíci z juniorského tímu. Sú nimi Alexei Dakhnovsky a Jakub Hudec, ktorý už odohral za seniorský tím 25 zápasov počas sezóny 2023/2024. Na predbežnej súpiske sa nenachádzajú viaceré veľké mená. Z klubu totiž zrejme odchádzajú Alex Breton, Vladimír Dravecký ml. do švédskeho tímu Rögle, Shawn Lalonde aj Cooper Zech. Stálica obrany Jens Olsson oznámil vo svojich 39 rokoch koniec profesionálnej kariéry.
V útoku budeme môcť aj v budúcej sezóne sledovať kapitána tímu Michala Chovana. Skúsenosťami ho doplnia Marek Bartánus, Oliver Jokeľ, Matúš Havrila, Patrik Lamper, Patrik Rogoň, Tomáš Zigo, Tomáš Mikúš, Mário Lunter, Eduard Šimun a z juniorského tímu Třinca prichádza Jan Bartoš. Útok by mali podľa potvrdených informácií opustiť Chase Berger a Hunter Fejes. Informácie o Joonovi Jääskeläinenovi a Brettovi Pollockovi ešte neboli verejne publikované. U Pollocka sa ale špekuluje, že by mal spolu s Fejesom pokračovať v nemeckej najvyššej súťaži DEL.
Prvou posilou tímu je bývalý útočník Trenčína, Šimon Petráš. Petráš sa sťahuje z Trenčína po dvoch vydarených sezónach. V sezóne 2022/2023 sa dokonca v drese Trenčína stal najlepším strelcom súťaže spomedzi Slovákov. Sezóna 2023/2024 nebola tak dobrá, ako predchádzajúca. Stále sa mu ale podarilo nazbierať 35 kanadských bodov v 53 zápasoch (15+20).
Druhou posilou do útočných radov je útočník z druhej slovenskej ligy. Je ním bývalý útočník Prešova Dávid Kohút. Kohút sa po angažmáne v Trnave počas sezóny 2020/2021 vrátil na sezónu 2023/2024 na Slovensko. V drese Prešova odohral celkovo 58 zápasov so ziskom 71 kanadských bodov (32+39) a bol jasným lídrom tímu.
