Pamätnými zostávajú aj jeho slová po zisku Stanley cupu, ku ktorému dokráčal tím z Manhattanu v roku 1994: „The waiting is over! The New York Rangers are the Stanley Cup Champions! And this one will last a lifetime!“, čo v preklade znamená: „ Čakanie sa skončilo! New York Rangers sú Stanley cup šampióni! A tento triumf bude trvať večne!“
Koniec kariéry avizoval sedemdesiatsedemročný Rosen ešte pred začiatkom aktuálnej sezóny, keď už v priebehu tej minulej vynechal niekoľko zápasov kvôli zdravotným ťažkostiam. Pri tejto príležitosti mu organizácia Rangers pripravila pred začiatkom sobotného duelu proti Vancouveru rozlúčkovú akciu priamo na ľadovej ploche, počas ktorej poďakoval svojim bývalým i súčasným kolegom, no hlavne všetkým fanúšikom.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said „You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.“ She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
