33-ročný Tatar je v NHL od roku 2009, keď ho Detroit Red Wings draftovali z celkového 60. miesta, odkorčuľoval v NHL viac ako 800 zápasov za päť tímov. Rodák z Ilavy zaznamenal počas svojho pôsobenia v National Hockey League 212 gólov a 252 asistencií s celkovým počtom 464 bodov.
