Liptovský Mikuláš je stálicou Extraligy už roky. V posledných sezónach sa ale trápia a držia sa na úrovni zostupu.
V minulej sezóne začínal v Liptovskom Mikuláši ako tréner Ján Šimko, ale dlho nevydržal. 15. decembra klub oznámil, že novým trénerom sa stane Ernest Bokroš. Jeho asistentom sa stal Martin Hrnčár, ktorý prišiel z Popradu. Ernest Bokroš dovtedy trénoval Prešov. V jeho pozícii ho nahradil Juraj Faith. A ako to bude teraz?

Ernest Bokroš totiž oznámil, že odmieta trénovať Liptákov, ak bude majiteľom klubu Róbert Ľupták. Po tomto vyjadrení vzniklo kontroverzné video, o ktorom asi vie každý hokejový fanúšik.
Pri oznámení prvých zahraničných posíl na Instagrame mikulášskeho klubu si môžeme všimnúť na bočnej strane príspevku rozpísaný aj realizačný tím na sezónu 2023/2024. Hlavným trénerom sa stane Juraj Faith, ktorý nahradil Ernesta Bokroša aj v Prešove po jeho odchode. Okrem skúseností z Prešova má Faith skúsenosti aj z pozície asistenta trénera v Michalovciach.

Jeho asistentom sa stane brat slovenskej legendy Ľubomíra Višňovského, Tibor Višňovský. Bude to pre neho prvá väčšia trénerská skúsenosť, keďže v minulosti trénoval len káder do 16 rokov v Hamikove. Zároveň popri pozícii asistenta trénera bude zastávať aj pozíciu generálneho manažéra klubu.

Trénerom brankárov sa stane po novom Roman Svatý, ktorý začínal svoju kariéru práve v Liptovskom Mikuláši. Jeho hráčska kariéra nebola až tak hviezdna, ale vynaloží čo najviac síl, aby poriadne vytrénoval brankárov Krasikova alebo Rychlíka. Jediné skúsenosti s trénovaním má zatiaľ z francúzskej druhej ligy, kde pôsobil ako konzultant pre trénera brankárov.
