Kladno minulou sezónu obhájilo své působení v nejvyšší české lize. Teď už se kolem stadionu, kde baráž proti Zlínu Kladno úspěšně zvládlo, se nyní začali objevovat dělníci a těžká technika. Chlazení obou ledových ploch změní místo. Přípravné zápasy tak Kladno neodehraje doma.
U stadionu by měla vyrůst nové energocentrum. Do energocentra, které se má nacházet na jihozápadě stadionu, mají být umístěna chlazení obou ledových ploch se strojovnou i zázemím.
Věříme, že výstavba energocentra přípravu neovlivní. Věděli jsme dopředu, že tu tahle rekonstrukce bude, takže jsme s tím počítali a máme zamluvený led ve Slaném. Zase taková komplikace to pro nás není.

Rekonstrukce ovšem zasáhne do přípravných zápasů. Rytíři je tak musí odehrát jinde. Kladno si proto zamluvilo ledovou plochu na nedalekém stadionu ve Slaném od 31. července až do 27. srpna.
Ve Slaném Rytíři odehrají přípravné zápasy proti Karlovým Varům a Litvínovu. Zápas se Slávií odehrají v Mělníku.
Domácí led by měl být hotový 20. srpna. Rekonstrukce byla důležitá z důvodu splnění bezpečnostních podmínek a kvůli úspoře energií.
Celé energocentrum vzniklo na popud bezpečnostních pravidel, protože strojovna chlazení by nikdy neměla být uvnitř v baráku. Všichni ale víme, že zimák je starý, hezký, náš. Potřebovali jsme, abychom dodrželi bezpečnostní pravidla, tak jsme museli udělat tohle rozhodnutí.
