Stejně jako minulý rok se ve finále Chance ligy potkají velcí rivalové Zlín a Vsetín. Minulý rok dopadl ve valašském derby lépe Zlín, když si poradil se Vsetínem 4:2 na zápasy. Vsetín se dostal do finále již po třetí v řadě a určitě bude chtít vrátit Zlínu minuloroční porážku.
Vsetín
Cesta Vsetína do finále vedla přes Přerov a Jihlavu. Zubry vyřadil po čtyřech zápasech a sérii vyhrál 3:1, přičemž měl skóre 18:4. S Jihlavou si také poradil velice dobře. Vyhrál čtyři z pěti zápasů a sérii ukončil doma na Lapači výhrou 4:1. Vsetín se snaží dostat zpátky do Extraligy již několik let. Zavedením baráže se však postupové cíle komplikují většině týmů z Chance ligy, jelikož propast mezi těmito ligami je obrovská.
Zlín
Zlín se do finále propracoval skrz Prostějov a Litoměřice. Zatím co s Prostějovem si Zlín poradil v pohodě 3:0 na zápasy, s Litoměřicemi už to taková sranda nebyla. Litoměřice poskládaly na letošní ročník opravdu kvalitní tým, což dokazuje čtvrté místo ze základní části. O vítězi rozhodoval až poslední sedmý zápas, který nakonec na svoji stranu urval Zlín.
Ve finále se tak střetnou dva týmy s ambicí na Extraligu. Očekáváme tedy vyrovnané zápasy bez jasného favorita. S ohledem na sílu Zlína v play-off ho i přes horší výsledky mírně favorizujeme.
