Nepríjemnú situáciu museli pred sezónou riešiť vo Zvolene. Jeden z očakávaných lídrov ich ofenzívy, center Michael Huntebrinker sa aj cez platnú zmluvu s klubom rozhodol pre ukončenie kariéry. Vedenie klubu spod Pustého hradu napokon pomerne rýchlo našlo aj náhradu, ktorou sa stal momentálne 25-ročný center s pravým držaním hokejky, Drake Rymsha.
Mladší brat niekdajšieho Extraligového beka, Rivera Rymshu, ktorý má mimo iné vo svojom repertoári aj jeden štart v NHL za Los Angeles Kings sa však postupne akosi stratil. Prv bol písaný medzi zranenými hráčmi, no napokon sa klub k jeho absenciách nijak nevyjadroval. Po novom sa stal Drake Rymsha novou posilou tímu EC Red Bull Salzburg, účastníka nadnárodnej ICEHL. Za Zvolen stihol odohrať 6 zápasov (4+3).
Salzburg zažíva skvelé obdobie, vedie ligovú tabuľku s trojbodovým náskokom pred Linzom. V ich kádri môžeme nájsť niekoľko zaujímavých hráčov ako napríklad Tyler Lewington, ktorý donedávna hral za Boston, resp. Providence Bruins, alebo aj pravidelných rakúskych reprezentantov ako Ali Wukovits, Thomas Raffl, prípadne Peter Schneider.
